Very cute. Makes your big one look soooo big. What is your latest measure on him? They, yours and Tatum are about the same age right? 2 yrs. 7 months is Tatum.
I should do that with Tatum and the two tiny Leo's I am watching for a month. I will post a pic if I do, and if the owners of the two little ones don't mind:)

My big guy is 18 months old! 1.25lbs and 6". He's my champ!

The baby is 40grams last time I checked and the clutchmate to the one who recently passed.

Hey Heather! What are your Leo's favorite foods? I've tried; hibiscus leaves, seed mixes, turnip greens, escarole, collard greens, mustard greens and shredded carrots. My GPB refuses to eat hibiscus leaves and will have store bought foods here and there, but loves clovers. I was wondering what have you had great success with?

3 lbs Barb! so awesome... I look forward to mine getting some real size to him!

Dud, my GPB went through a clover only phase. Around 4months of age if I remember correctly. Wanted ONLY clovers. Now he has no interest in clovers LOL
Just continue to offer all the good stuff but you already know that. :)

At 9months of age I started adding Mazuri to the diet. Each morning I soak a few nuggets and add fresh grass clippings from the yard and other weeds/ greens. Mix it all up into a mush meatball and I have continued that "breakfast" to this day. I let the big ones graze on whatever they want for the rest of the day and the little ones can eat from the green pile I give them. Hope this helps

This sounds like college and Ramen. Ate so much, I'd rather starve than eat it now. :p

Your Leos are so cute! <3

Lol the clover phase seems about right with mine, I'm going to have to start growing some more indoors now. It just seemed like my GPB doesn't notice all the lush varieties of food when I put it out. Then again she'll take a few bites and knock out for half the day lol. Are there any other foods you recommend me trying with my GPB? My GPP's will practically eat anything on the plate, seems like hibiscus is #1 on the menu right now. :p Thanks for the insightful advice! :D

SulcataDud, try the meatballs :)

I use Mazuri, grassland, finely chopped grass and then add something else (varies each feeding: dandelion, plantain, hibiscus, cactus, mulberry etc.) And mush it into a solid ball. Your picky GPB will have to eat all the good stuff when it's mixed this way! :D

I do this daily for breakfast after the morning soak. They get to graze unlimited when outside and have piles of good greens (uncut whole leaves) at all times when indoors.

This morning:
Mazuri, Grassland, grass, aloe
Yum yum!

That "meatball" idea is neat! What's the grassland product you are referring to?

This is awesome! Are the plantain you're using bananas? My GPB has slowly accept more varieties of food, other than just sniffing it out and nibbling on pieces. I'm going to try this! I'm definitely going to have to start growing grasses indoors though. The weather hasn't been great here in Vegas. I recently got back from going out of town and had help feeding my Leo's, they were all fed spring mix for the first time with finely blended Grassland sprinkled all over and when I came home there wasn't a trace of food left lol. Love your simple ideas we need to make a diet recipe thread and sticky it. :D
