I have to share a little love story here. I didn’t realize until building franklins new winter house how many people understand my love for him! We own and run a constitution business from our home. About 3 years ago our daughter and her friend left franklins gate open and he excepted 
as we put together franklins new home we had employee after employee stop by,watch and help. I was amazed with all their stories of watching him grow and the one common story of when the whole company came to a stop and had to report Home to look for the tortoise! Yes our whole company (at the time about 25 guys) had to leave their job site and come home to look for him, cutting blackberries, searching the woods and creek. But what they all said was ,you were so sad and we didn’t want to quit looking! I love all my guys that looked for over 8 hours! And I’m so happy my missing tort posters worked! Back then he was about 11 pounds and today he is 38 pounds! Wouldn’t change a day, some times oregon can be hard having a big tortoise, but it is all worth it!
