Matamata turtle (would like advice please)

Hi there!! I decided to buy a new one matamata turtle (i used to have 13" inch 2 year ago) that i keep him on the pool at the outside which he can get sun light but now i'm move to live in the condominium where i do not have a lot of place for a new one.

That's a problem that i'm gonna keep him in a large plastic box which no sun light!! Could i do that ?

I do reseach from the internet found that in normally matamata turtle live in swamp or black water which sun light can be reached. Somebody said that the matamata turtle do not need sun light which can hurt their a little tiny eyes. They can have calcium and nutrious from food. Is it enough for them?

Do anybody have any suggestion for me ?
