Today I took out and examined my wheatgrass from the container, and I saw some fuzzy, gray mold growing right at the substrate line. I don’t know how long it’s been there, but I’ve been feeding it to my tortoise for a month. I haven’t noticed any changes in behavior, and it is currently planted inside my tortoise’s enclosure. I read that the mold is not harmful to humans, as you can easily trim and wash it off, but I’m not sure about how safe it is for my tortoise. This sounds like a stupid question, but what should I do? For future purposes, how do I prevent this from happening?

I dont know how you prevent it but I think it would be better if you get rid of that patch of Wheatgrass can you show a picture
I already trimmed the mold out so I can't show you the exact picture, but it looked something like this:
F” for Wheatgrass
