Monkey grass?

Does anyone know if Monkey Grass (Liriope) is safe for torts, especially Hermann's? It's a dark green, low growing border plant that makes purple berries. I've tried researching it but can't find mention of it in "the tortoise library."

I found it on "the tortoise table"- they even have photos to help confirm the identity of the plant. Turns out it's high in saponins which are toxic TO COLD BLOODED ANIMALS, but not toxic to warm blooded animals like humans, dogs or cats.

They warn AGAINST using it in tortoise enclosures.
