I'm guessing by the unhappy face after your last sentence that Mortimer's moving to the cousin's house is a permanent arrangement that you are not too happy with? Sorry about that. Its never easy to see them go.
But you have a nice photo reminder. I LOVE that picture! It hard to realize that the little baby you see today will some day be the giant that's going to your cousin's house!
So cute picture! Is there a reason why Mortimer is at your cousin's house? I am sure you miss him a lot. As Yvonne said, you have a nice photo reminder

Well! Mortimer and Aladar are squaring off...not to mention displaying at each other...and I have A LOT invested in Aladar...so my bachelor herd will be no more...the good thing is that my cousin already keeps snakes (an even bigger herp enthusiast than me)...has more than an acre in Rancho Cucamonga...so it's a win-win for Mortimer...as the entire property is walled off with 8 feet of cinder block and ~80% of the outdoor space is grass and weeds...ideal (for Mort).
That's very interesting. Had they been together since hatchlings? And how big are they both now. (just trying to add to my knowledge of when male sulcatas might start to antagonize each other)
NO! I picked up Motrimer from the shelter a year ago...he was in poor shape...my goal was to fatten him up and place him with someone with a passion for torts...I had no idea I would become a victim of tort fever...shortly after I got 2 normal phase babies (from Linda in SoCal)...this past winter I acquired the ivory babies from a broker (but they are Tortuga Villa stock). Then about a month later, I stumbled across Richard Fife's site...saw that he still had this gorgeous male and my daughter named him Aladar on the spot. So, in all irony, I've only been keeping torts for a year now. Aladar will be with us forever! I'm now reconsidering any possible sale of the babies...and that would suit my daughter just fine! Stay tuned!
Don't know...they've been eating from the same pile of lasagne for the past three months...I was actually starting to think they'd be the exception to the rule...
