My leopard tortoise has white patches between the scutes?

I've noticed recently that my leopard tortoise has white patches between the scutes. Could this be the start of pyramiding? I have another who is quite a bit smaller and there's nothing on that shell. They're both 3 months old. I've attached some photos of the patches to try and explain what I mean. Any advice would be great. Thank you, Cerys

It's hard to tell because the picture is blurry, but I'm going to guess that the leopard pattern is starting to develop. Nothing to worry about.

Looks like its developing some of that beautiful white marbling some get.
