Hi, I got 2 new Russians yesterday! I was told that they are approx. 2 years old. At what age are they considered mature? When do they usually start breeding? I have bred bearded dragons before but never torts. I was told they were male female so I guess we will see. Thanks!

from what I hear, it depends more on size than age... males over 5" and females over 6" give best results (from what I've been told). Anyways, in general over 5" in size... I have also read that's usually around 6-8 years old when they're "mature"...

Size and age are all a big thing in breeding.
Your tortoises most likely wont breed at the ages of 3 to 4 years old.
They would most likely breed when older.
and bigger.

i know that when breeding the size must be rather large, so like cvalda said.. over 5"
