Hi everyone , a new member to this forum here (from England).
My amazing Hermann’s turns 5 years old this year and is currently living in an enclosure under a heat lamp (until summer heats up!)
She is generally quite laid back but one thing I have noticed more recently is that when I switch the lamp off in the evening, I see her jump in shock and hide in her shell. It’s something that I have only noticed in the past few months , & I was just wondering if anyone has seen similar behaviour from their tortoise? The last thing I want to do is keep startling her but I can’t not switch the lamp off.
