New Russian Tortoise family member

Hello.
I joined this site about a week ago because I was planning on purchasing a tortoise, and after looking around a bit online... here I am! So, I just bought a russian tortoise today. My son named him Nobody the Wondering Tortoise. We bought a tortoise house that is 3'x2' and used top soil and play sand for substrate. We also will be creating an outdoor space for him once it stops raining. We put an aloe vera plant and a live lettuce plant in his home. The lettuce has been run over many times already and I am not sure it will last much longer.

We are happy to have him in our home and look forward to a life long friend. My son is 6 years old he loves Nobody.

Welcome! We can certainly understand why your son loves Nobody.
Make sure you have a warm basking side 95F and a cooler 70F side so he has a choice.
Good idea to create an outdoor enclosure, he will love it!
