Hey all, I just got a new front opening tank for my desert tortoise hatchlings and it came with a “rock background” that you can put your cords behind to keep them out of the way. I just opened the tank and turns out the background is styrofoam. Is this bad for my tortoises and should I remove it or is it fine? Also saw someone else here paint concrete over their styrofoam so I guess that could be an option as well. Also will it have issues with a damp substrate like coco coir? Thanks for the input, just found it strange that it came with that when id think that styrofoam in an enclosure is a no go.

I am not an expert but I would not leave it inside the enclosure. If you like it put it outside away from the tortoise. My opinion.
