New tank coming need ideas for decor

Hi,
I have an animal plastics enclosure coming for my baby leopard tortoise and I was wondering what you guys use for foliage? I wondering if it would be ok to put fake plants in it or if my tortoise would try and eat it? If I get live plants he/she would definitely eat them which is fine but would it be hard to keep them alive and the tank clean?

I like to use the weighted aquarium plants (plastic). In the past I've used african violets, any small succulent plant, spider plants, etc.

I have some sedge grass and creeping sedum in my torts enclosure.
I planted the sedge grass in the substrate and placed flat rocks around it to deter digging. It's a safe plant but my sulcata hatchling thinks it tastes bad. The creeping sedum is in a pot and drapes over the sides. They get nibbled when low enough
