My name is Lindsay and I live in Oklahoma City. I have a Sulcata that is about 2 months old.

I have a concern. I noticed yesterday that there are some gnats in the aquarium! Is that rare or common? If it is common is there a way to control this problem. Thank you!

Those come with the substrate eventually. Keep the enclosure clean of food litter and poop. Then, depending on the kind of substrate your using, boiling or baking it before using it will help to keep them away long. They usually do eventually come back, then boil or bake again.

What is your substrate? And have you gone to the top of the sulcata page yet to read Tom and deans “stickies"?
Tell us about your enclosure, the temps, humidity, what are you feeding…things like that and we all can help you get to the point of helping others as well. Glad to have you here. Welcome.

Those are just one of the various types of substrate flies. Normal, unavoidable, and harmless.
