Ordering hatchlings?

I live in Louisiana and the average temperature is in the 40's at night and 60's during the day and I am planning on buying some hatchling musk turtles from turtle source and i am wondering if its too cold to ship them. I
Am also wondering what size they will be since they hatched a few months ago.

I have gotten some lovely animals from TurtleSource. Marc is careful about watching temps when shipping animals. He will package your hatchling with heat packs if the temps indicate they're needed. My baby Hermann arrived here in Wyoming in January and made the trip just fine because Marc was checking the weather forcast and picked a day when it would be warm enough.

Where in Louisiana do you live? You can find various types of musk turtles for sale locally. I come across them very often.

Ilive in CT and just received a shipment this week. People who know what they're doing will be able to watch the weather for breaks in temperature and ship accordingly. They should also know ways to keep the box insulated and at a comfortable temp for your turtles.

Marc has shipped plenty of turtles to be able to ensure their saftey, and i'm sure he does so all year long, to places that get colder than LA.

Marc at Turtle Source is fine. His prices are high, but I've only gotten good animals from him.

Thanks guys I'm going to order them soon. And yes,I know about turtle sale, I know some people who have gotten bad turtles from them and I would never order from them but thanks for the warning. ,=,e
