Hi there, I have a 4 year old tortoise and live on Vancouver Island. For the last 4 nights my tortoise has been staying outside as it is summer. But I'm wondering if the night temps are ok?

Daytime temps in celcius are 24 degrees. (75)
Nighttime has been dropping to approx 15 degrees. (59)

He is still eating and alert. Is this ok? He enjoys being outside.

Yes I believe those temps are ok for a hermanns of that age. I let mine stay in temps all the way down to 50. As long as it’s not too wet and he can warm up good the next day.

Yes, those temps are fine bit is he able to warm up quickly in the morning? Just consider hermanns and needs approx 35C to start digesting their food and they need the night temps to reduce to slow down their system.
