I am building an enclosure for my rt and I would like to paint the inside and out to seal it and also to make it look better but I don't know whether I should. I want to paint it green but I don't know if that could be to dark or hard on his eyes and I also don't know the paint fumes are bad for him even after fully cured. any ideas? it is also and indoor enclosure fyi.
thank you!

Hi! I think, any color, unless it's "fuchsia frenzy" will be fine.

If the paint is fully cured it should not emit any significant amount of fumes. With open table it should not be an issue. For a "closed chamber" I would be more careful about choice of paints and give more time to "off gas".

Ok good. His enclosure has an open top so that’s good but I could use regular paint that you would use to paint a room? Or are there some I should stay away from?

Acrylic and latex-based paints are considered safe. Probably, you will need an outdoor-grade paint (more resistant to moisture, temperatures and mechanical abrasion).
