What a gorgeous tort! GOD bless. And welcome to the forum.

One thing I am sure of is that torts take time to adjust to a new place, environment, enclosure and the rest: they do NOT like change. So it may be a matter of time till your cutie settles down. And please keep us updated.

He is utterly adorable.

I think something must have scared him when he panicked like that. Maybe as has been suggested, he needs a tub that is not see-through.

Everything sounds good . Are the foods you feed are all appropriate?
I would probably take him to the vet to see if they can figure out why hes still so small. But if hes active and wats/drinks then thats great
