Hi all,
This guy was found in a suburban neighborhood in North Texas. Clearly the victim of an inconsiderate young artist at some point, he seems otherwise healthy. Can any of you please help with an ID? Thanks!

Hi pressureSPT:

Welcome to the Tortoise Forum!!

What would you like us to call you?

You can put the tortoise into a shallow tub of warm water and scoop water up over the shell. After she has soaked for a while, take a soft-bristle brush and gently scrub her shell. The spaces in between the design are kind of tender, as that's where the growth happens, so don't scrub too hard.

Thanks everyone! So, you're suggesting that the pink color on the shell is from colored sand? I will follow your advice emysemys for cleaning it off. Also, I'll swing by a vet and check for a microchip.
