Ok, so heres my tortoise enclosure. I know, its really boring.http://photos-c.ak.fbcdn.net/photos-ak-
n1559420694_79730_3516.jpg

and heres underneath the lamps
n1559420694_79729_3263.jpg

The whole floor is filled with about an inch of a 50/50 mixture of Bed A Beast(cocunut stuff) and Play Sand with Timothy Hay on the cool side for hiding and nibbling(of course it was supposed to neat but Pokey dragged it all over the place  ) . The bulb in the black lamp is a 100W infared lamp that i keep on 24/7 and the other lamp is a 5.0 UVB. Im gonna buy cuttlebone to put in tomorrow.

This enclosure is temporary, and will be replaced with an outdoor enclosure come springtime. This will probably become the rainy/cold day housing.

Any thing I'm missing?
Thanks!

from what i gathered at a close range the amount is hazardous. I wonder if they would be alright if they were hung 3 foot or so above the enclosure?

Wow, thanks for info! I never would have known. It is a coiled UVB bulb. Do you think this is of immediate concern or a long term thing? I was reading on the website of the product (http://www.exo-terra.com/en/products/compact_fluorescent_bulbs.php , bottom 10.0) that it should only be used with a dense screen so that it will filter out most of the rays.
Anyway thanks again for the info! I will be getting a new bulb ASAP. What do you recommend? I saw Mercury Vapor Bulbs mentioned above....
