Hi all,

In the interest of sharing, I'd like to post some pics of our in-progress Hermann's hatchling enclosure.

When I first began constructing this, we thought we might get a full sized tortoise, hence the large book case. Since then we were convinced to get a hatchling, so I walled off 2/3rds of the bookcase. This was easy as I just had to insert a shelf, and then line that with shower curtain liner. My plan is to place the basking spot on the left side, and the CHE perhaps more in the middle. The right side I will put a humid hide. I'm trying as best I can to follow guidance from @HermanniChris.

Anyway, my list of things to acquire is still long. If anyone has any recommendations I would love to hear! My list:
  • Shallow water dish (cheap clay saucer?)
  • Water spray bottle
  • Cypress mulch (hard wood mulch instead?)
  • Drift wood? / hide
  • Tupperware upside down w/ wet moss for humid hide
    • Moistened sphagnum moss
  • Edible low light plants, Mazuri?
  • UV Meter
  • Temperature gun
  • Cuttle bone
  • MVB: in my amazon cart
  • CHE (in my amazon cart)
