rat bite

Hi there. My Angulate tortoise recently got bitten by a rat. I have been doctoring him with warm aloa soaks but now his skin is looking very very dry.and brittle. Can I use coconut or olive oil on his actual skin, not just on his shell

Why are you soaking him so much? Is it an open wound? Bleeding? Don't soak so much that it's damaging his skin...I know they are native to your area, and isn't it a savanna? threat the wound not the whole tort. How is he injured?

You need to take him to a good reptiles vet.
