Hello,

We have had our little baby tortoise for about a month. I noticed the under shell and just thought it was normal and the more I learn the more I am worried he/she has shell rot! We love our sweet Turtlely! I want to keep him/her happy and healthy. We soak him/her at least 4 times a week, working on soaking him/her every day. (I am still learning, sorry! ) I lightly scrub him/her with a soft tooth brush 3xs a week. We mist the terrarium daily. Light gets turned on as soon as I get up and is not turned off until about 9 (7am-9pm).

Please help me keep him/her healthy!

This is a picture of the terrarium in case it's something I. the terrarium causing problems, but the shell has looked mostly the same since we got him/her.

The baby probably had shell rot when you got it. It doesn't look like your substrate is too wet, and sitting on wet substrate is the shell rot culprit. Daily clean the area well and apply athlete foot cream. It should clear up in a week or so.

Your aquarium looks fine.
