Is the reptifogger too much moisture for a tortoise enclosure. I run it for hours until I see it wet in over half the enclosure. Is there such thing as tooo moist and foggy?

Really it depends on how old the tortoies is ie..the older the tortoise gets the less it needs. When they are hatchlings according to Tom an expert on the subject also a tortoise forum member yes they should be kept at about 80% humidity and misted a few times a day and from what I read keep them very moist but I dont believe you want them swimming just enough that the top inch or so of substrate stays damp. They should have a humid hide box as hatchings spend most of there time hiding when in the wild in dark humid burrows which the hide box is imitating.

Yup, not a sullie keeper, but the only time I'd say too humid is no good is if its too cold. Cold and Wet is about the worst thing going for torts, warm and humid the best.
