Hey guys,
My rf tortoises live in Aruba, it's very hot but the humidity is around 65% I see on every picture here on the forum that the shells of the tortoises are very shiny and full of color. Mine aren't like that they are more brownish by dust and you don't see the colors red and dark, only when I bath them. Do you guys think it's a problem for them? And I like the shiny colors do you have suggestions to get them like that?
Thanks

LOL! We've tricked you!! Most everyone here will wet or wash their tortoises before taking the pictures. Yours could look that good too. All you have to do is wet them.

I have been traveling to Aruba for 25 years and have never seen any tortoises on the island. It is unlikely that Red Foots are native to Aruba. If they exist, they must have been brought in. As far as the humidity you are reporting, Aruba is an semiarid climate with minimal scrub and Divi trees. My lips are bone dry as soon as I hit the island ( I just returned from Aruba yesterday)
