RT chipped shell

My 5 yr old RT has some shell damage. It seems like it is getting worse... I can see some white. I know I asked about this before, but the white it making me nervous. Is it ok?

I'm not sure what is causing the flaking, but it doesn't look like shell rot to me. The white you see is the bone under the keratin. He looks older than 5 years old to me. Many of my Russians have this flaking look (they came to me that way) so I wouldn't worry too much about it, although you might investigate if he's rubbing it against something.
