Russian tortoise Shell

I have a 15 year old Russian Tortoise, I recently had to travel for work for 6 months and had a friend keep an eye on my tortoise while I was away. I noticed over time she had started to develop this ring/crater going around her shell. Is it just growth or should I be worried?

Your friend might have been feeding her too much of the wrong types of food, causing accelerated new growth. Like, maybe too much lettuce???

Ok ya that makes sense and she wasnt getting much exercise. I'm home with her now, so I'm definitely going to get ger back in shape. I'm just glad it's nothing serious.
