Hi

I was thinking of planting some Tradescantia Pallida in my garden but I am concerned whether it will be safe for Taco?
To be honest I don’t often see him nibbling my existing plants but I certainly do t want to introduce something that could endanger him.
I’ve read that this plant could be an issue with pets.
Any advice - as always, gratefully received ☺️

Hello!
This plant is non-toxic, however it contains oxalate crystalls. These can be an issue (irritation of skin and mouth) for some animals but non harmful to tortoises. Obviously, tradescantia is not a staple food (oxalic acid interferes with calcium intake) but safe when nibbled from time to time.
