Okay so I have four russians and I am worried about keeping their shells healthy....Is there anything I can do to assure healthy shell growth? I am already putting calcium powder on their food.

Thank you:D

Here are a couple of threads that will share everything I know about this subject and explain why I think the way I do. You'll have to draw your own conclusions about applying this to a russian as I have yet to this with one.

Sunshine and calcium...the two best things for healthy shell and growth.

Agreed. A bit of humidity doesn't hurt too, although Russians aren't as prone to pyramiding (I keep my Russian dry by the way). I'd never put anything on the shell if that is what you are getting at. I try to most closely mimic wild conditions.
