Shred? Or do you mean shed? They don't shed

They don't shed scutes on their carapaces like water turtles, but they do shed skin like other animals. I don't think there is a particular frequency associated with shedding skin.

Sorry, yes I mention shed, my RT seems to shed skin quite a lot on the back legs, just wondered if this is normal? As soon as it's came loose, the next layer starts!

Hmm, that seems to be a lot of shedding, I do not know if that much skin coming loose is normal. Vet check up maybe?
