I have 3 red foot tortoises and right now they are staying in their hides or sleeping alot...I get them out to feed them, they eat and then sometimes go right back....only a day or two will they just walk around and check things out. Is that normal for this time of the year?

Redfoots spend a lot of time in their hides. It will take a while to acclimate to a new environment,so they will be shy for a while. What are the temps all over the enclosure? If the hide is the only suitably warm spot, that's where they will be.
