just the other day i noticed small flying bugs similar to a gnat in my enclosure. I squashed them all and the next morning found more. They were ‘crawling’ on the soil, when disturbed they fly away. And when i got CB out of his hide for his morning soak i noticed there were a couple in his moss and on his shell. I am sure i am over thinking things and it’s fine. But i just have to ask if they are something i should worry about...more than smashing them
I can’t get a shot of the tiny bugs but here is a shot of CB for fun

Sounds like fungus flies. Totally harmless, but very annoying to us humans... I inhaled one that was in my torts pen the other day.

They usually come in bags of dirt or coco coir and hatch with the humidity. You can't do much about them besides trying your best to clean up food scraps and tortoise waste
