Soil for growing plants

Is there a preferred soil for growing plants for my tort? Or what should be avoided?

Are you talking about growing plants inside the enclosure or outside the enclosure?

For growing plants inside enclosures, I like to use a sterile topsoil.

In that case, any potting soil that does not contain pesticides should be fine.
