I'm still alive. (I know all of you love and miss me)

Random pictures from the backyard today. Although officially we're still a couple of weeks away from spring, the plants are already ready already.

My pineapples survived the winter. I wonder if I'll ever get any fruit from them.

The cactus garden is overrun with grass, but the plants seem to be doing pretty well. We had a lot of rain last week so the pads are very fat.

Aint it great?! I can't wait until spring is in it's full blown beauty. Gorgeous leopards you have there


Neal are fig leaves edible? Is that why you grow Figs? If so that would be news to my ears , good news

Yes fig leaves are edible. I'm not sure what their dietary qualities are though...the tortoises eat it if its there, but they don't seem crazy about it like grape or mulberry.

If you have a problem with your pineapples try citing a apple in to quarters and drop the quarter down the cone as the apple quarter goes bad it gives off ethane an gas to get it to produce a small pole with a small pineapple at the end .
