Moss or coco coir, or you can mix. Soil isn't too shabby either

a mix of peat moss and (top soil brand) plain dirt i find this to be very agreeable

Yep, I use coco coir as well, it don't mold, at least I have never had any mold. Good luck!

I like a combination of organic potting or top soil, coconut coir & sphagnum moss. Most outdoor soils would do just as well as long as they didn't have a heavy sand or clay content.

I use cypress mulch. I pour a couple of cups of water over it every so often and it contains moisture and creates humidity very well.

How many time a day do you mist it?

Well not even daily, i have a fogger i put on manually every couple of days when my humidity drops to about 79% (about 2-3days) My substrate stays dry on top but damp underneath so no shell rot, but the air humidity stays high!

Okay. I have a fogger too, but can't seem to get my humidity above 40%. Where do you live? Cause I live in Colorado so I think that's why...

they sell a nice combo hydrometer and temp gauge at walmart its like 4 dollars very acurae and WAY cheaper then anything found in a petstore i use two one for both ends of the enclosure
