I have a question about my sulcata hatchling, that I've had for just a couple of days now.

He has some black "staining" around his mouth area that was there when he arrived, and I haven't ever seen that before in a sulcata. My other one never had it, although did get green lips after eating. I tried to gently clean his face with a baby toothbrush and warm water during his bath yesterday, but it didn't come off at all.

ALSO, whenever he opens and closes his mouth there is a sharp "clicking" sound.

Anyone ever heard of these things before? Should I be concerned?

It happens from food and it happens from eating poop, its something that will wear off as they eat and over time.

When I bought my youngest sulcata, I picked him because he had the black on his mouth...:p:p

Yup seems u have a poop eater.. Far as the clicking, I have heard my Sully do this while eating, not exactly sure what it is but with mine I see no reason for concern
