I thought the same thing Angi. I wanted to not blame her for their care, as I dont know the background and she could be temporarily trying to help them, but when she said "turtles" I thought she really just doesn't know.

She has either learned about them and changed her ways, or she took them in in the shape they're in...I say this because the smallest one is almost perfectly smooth.
