ALDABRAMAN~You are right and thank you for your concern. If I hadn't been over eating carrots I would be more concered. If the whites of my eyes change I will rush to the doc.

Terryo~Until I turned 40 I was a size 2 or 4. Now at 44 I have gained about 20 extra pounds. I am trying to eat better. Eating an apple before a meal keeps you from over eating and eating carrots all day keeps you from grabing an unhealthy snack. They also give you the chewing that makes your body feel satisfied and not hungry. All that fiber is also good.

I have to feed my Red-factor canaries red things (red-bell pepper, beets, strawberry, etc.) mixed in w/ their seeds, or they'll turn yellow...

Same thing w/ zoo/park flamingoes...they must be fed certain foods or they become a very pale pinkish-white.

Wonder if excessive egg-plant consumption might turn you to a purple hue...one of my nephews eats eggplant like it's going extict, so when he spends this summer with us, I guess I'll have a guinea-pig!

Science marches on! :p

Yeah I remember Dr. Oz talking about this. Eat things with lots of carotenoids and that happens. It even happends with my friends birds that eat carrot bits.
