my female leopard laid eggs a couple days ago and I was really caught off guard lol.
Male mates with the female on a daily basis but he is still smaller than her so im not sure if mating is ever successful
The eggs were laid all over the place and not in a dug out nest. My substrate is mainly coco coir and I think the issue could have been that this is not firm enough for the female to actually dig a nice nest.
I took the eggs out anyway and put them in hydrated vermiculite (inside a shoe box) and placed them in a reptibator I had from before.
I read the sticky about chalking and fertile vs non fertile eggs but had a question about the timeline of leopard tortoise egg development.
How many days or weeks should i wait before I should start to see chalking? so far, 4 days in and no chalking at all.
