Is it a bad thing that I never see urates in my tortoises urine? They have water available 24/7 and they both seem to pee small bucketfuls. Are they drinking too much?

She said she has not seen the Urates. That is the white stuff that you can see that does not look like water. The 'water' is the urine. As for if its bad to not see it.. that I dont know!
I've seen urates on my leopards' pees but not 100% of the time. I wouldn't worry much as long as your tortoise seems to be healthy.
Ahh, yes, gotcha Laura; thanx for the clarification; I had mis-read the post. I dunno if that's bad or not, as I don't see mine 100% of the time, either ~

I've never seen any, that's why I asked. They are healthy and active. I guess they just don't like to make a mess?
