Will box turtles lay with their back legs out behind them (like some dogs do)? I saw mine doing this for the first time a few days ago, is it normal or is something going on with him? :tort:

Plenty normal. Turtles and Torts of all ilk will do that. Sometimes, they'll stick all 4 legs out. That is often called "the superman" position.

It is very normal. Mine do it especially when they're laying in the sun and just soaking up the rays. Usually their heads way out too. It's so cute!

Mine do it when they are basking or soaking sometimes. I think it means they feel safe and relaxed enough to expose themselves , so its a good sign :)
