Uneven pyramiding.

I've had my Redfoot for almost 6 months, and he had a lil pyramiding when I got him. It hasn't gotten any worse, except on his vertebral front and back scutes. What would cause just these two scutes to pyramid?

Can you provide pics? Generally, pyramiding can appear anywhere on the carapace, on any scute or growth line. Pyramiding appears on a vulnerable scute or scutes. Once conditions have been corrected, the carapace evens out, and the previous pyramiding blends in with the healthy growth. The fact that your redfoot is still pyramiding suggests that conditions have not been completely corrected. what have you done to correct the problem?
