updated comparison pics

I posted pics of my Hermann's pair in April of 2012, when Mr Bean was around 3.5" and Dave was just a hair bigger. At the time, the guestimates were that Mr Bean was possibly female, and Dave male. Thought it'd be interesting to repost them along with updated pics. Mr Bean is now 5" and Dave is 4.5".

First pic is the old pic, with the new one below, and Dave is on the left in ALL of the pics...

As you can see, Mr Bean turned out to be very male, and it looks like Dave is female, don't you think?

Thanks! At what age/size are females generally mature? I, of course, have these two housed separately right now as Mr Bean is VERY overwhelming to Dave; when he sees her, he has one thing on his mind and one thing only! LOL!

Had them out in the yard today for some sun, keeping a close eye on them. Bean followed Dave around like a shadow until he finally got distracted with some yummy dandelions!

I'm not expert on Hermanns but I believe the eastern Hermanns mature between 5-8 inches though I may be off on that.

I can relate! Had to separate mine as the female was clearly not as "gleeful" as the male.
