Iv been putting my Baby Sulcata Outside, in his
new pin daily for 3-4 hours!
I was Wondering how long should i keep mu uvb light on?
still 8-12 hours during the morning into night time?
is there such thing as too much uv light?
Some tortises live outside, for 12-15 hours and get natural uvb light!

I turn on the uv light at 7 am when i wake up,
go to school till three, when i get hoke i turn off the light and take him outside till 6!
when i return him inside i turn on the light for an hour or so!
Then Bath Him, and feed him!
After i turn on a regualr heat lamp all night till 7 am, then it starts over

Timers will probably make your life a little easier. I think 8 hours of the uv light is plenty, especially if he's getting outside everyday.

During most of the year I just use regular hardware store incandescent bulbs. Usually a 50 watt flood for small tortoises. I just adjust the height up or down to get the right temp. I save the MVBs for the middle of winter where we might have a stretch of two or three weeks with no outdoor time. In my opinion if they get real sun for an hour or two a week, you really don't need any artificial UV. Extra UV when they are indoors certainly won't hurt anything though.
