uvb light problem ??

Hi I have my uvb light at the top of my enclouser but should it be further down as I have read they should not be ti high up ???

Usually the manufacturer of the light will specify in the instructions the recommended height depending on the type of bulb and type of tortoise you have.

What type of light is it? The manufacturer's recommendations are usually a good starting point if you don't have a UV meter.
