Vomiting Clear Substance?

Hi everyone,
I went to go shut off the lights for my tortoise (redfoot, 1 year and 4 months old) since it’s bedtime and saw he didn’t eat his greens. So I hand fed him one and he ate it. But then he started to vomit clear substance, looked like water. He didn’t drink water after and I was too scared to feed him so I just soaked him. I put him back and he ran around his enclosure for a while then went back to sleep. I have two thoughts on what could of caused it: I think I fed him too many fruits or he’s extremely dehydrated since he never drinks out of his water bowl but I still soak him everyday for 30 minutes so idk.
I’m really scared. I bumped up his heating from 81F to 85F. Humidity is at 75%. Usually at 80% but it drops a little at night.
Any thoughts?
I will call the vet tomorrow morning.

Don't run to the vets just yet. They can do more harm then good, most of them.
See how he acts today. Not sure what it could be, but maybe @Yvonne G can help

Thank you for the advice. I have not called the vet yet, just monitoring him and hopefully will get more guidance from this forum. Simba is awake now but hasn’t moved yet (he doesn’t typically move around anyways when he just wakes up).

If he acts normal, eats, etc. Then I would wait and just keep a closer eye on him.
If anything starts turning in the wrong direction, let us no right away and then a vet visit may be needed.

Do u have a thermostat hooked up? And what type of thermometers are u using? Was the vomit more slimy or bubbly ? No breathing problems?

Update: after waking up, Simba walked around his enclosure and was active. I am now soaking him and hand feeding him some greens. Everything seems okay but he’s been yawning a lot more than usual. Although I suspect he didn’t get much sleep bc he woke up way earlier today.

Possibly a RI.. i would keep the temps up to 86 day and night just to be safe

I use the Reptitemp Digital Thermostat, I included a photo of it. I couldn’t really tell because it happened very fast and the vomit went straight into his substrate. It looked exactly like water and flowed out of his mouth and possibly nose too! I checked to see if he was breathing through his nostrils and he is but he yawned a lot this morning-could it be yawning or him trying to get more air idk.

I again would not jump into a vet appt. Just give him a couple days. If he acts normal then he is fine. If anything changes to the bad, then get a vet visit.
It's likely not an RI. If he has dripping from only his nose, not from vomiting then it could be an RI.

No vet yet. Noisy breathing, stretching out neck a lot , nasal discharge are a few. I would bump up the temps for a few weeks and unless he starts getting worse i wouldnt see a vet

Update: I put my ear closer to him and I can hear the slightest bit of wheezing/whistling. But it’s not consistent, it comes for a few seconds then goes.. no nasal discharge tho and not much neck stretching. Will keep his enclosure at 86 for a few weeks.

He’s not dripping from the nose but when I put my ear close to him I can hear very subtle wheezing/whistling but it only happens for a few seconds. Possibly normal or nose whistling? I won’t take him to the vet yet, I’ll just keep monitoring him and keep everyone updated here.
