Ok I have a question. How do you know if your Russian is the right weight for size? Mine weighed 292g this morning and is 10cm wide x 11cm long. His vet said he was a tad light and to give high fiber which I've been doing. What weight should he be?

I don't worry about the "right" weight for any of my turtles and tortoises. I go by the "seat of my pants" method. If a turtle/tortoise feels like I'm picking up a rock - he has a good weight. If he feels like I'm picking up a shell full of air - something's wrong.
