What am i missing

Ok so I have an idea, i have a bed that i don't use its one of those beds that u need to put a board in it before u put the mattress so i was thinking to make a board that fits the bed and make wall on it does anyone have anything else i can add to it to make it better?

Do you mean to say that you are going to use a bed frame for your steppe tortoise to live in? That would be a good size enclosure. You'll probably need to line it with plastic to protect the wood from moisture. And after you add substrate, make sure the sides are high enough that he can't climb out. Then you'll need a rock or tile to feed him on, a waterer, a couple hiding places then a stand or framework over the top for lights and heat. Be sure to shoot us a couple pictures.

I did something similar to what you have in mind. It used to be a twin size bed frame. It had a solid bottom and sides. So i lined it with plastic. Put it on casters. Added substrate and lights and now have a great "naughty box" for when my Russian male gets a bit "over eager" in pursing the girls...
