What type of cactus is this?

I just found the same cactus by my house. Do I have to burn off all the tiny little glochids? I just had one stab me through my gloves as I was trying to brush them off. Is any opuntia truely spineless or will I always have to deal with the little glochids?

Thats the problem I am having with the cactus in the photo. its not the big spines that I have an issue with (they are easy to remove) it's those tiny glochids that are driving me crazy. The spinless cactus and the other cactus we have do not have such a mass amount of glochids so i can handle them with out gloves.

The cactus in the picture has some spines but have an over abundance of glochids so i have to use metal tongs to hold and attempt to burn the glochids off....
