Around what time do Hermann females lay their eggs, and around what time do they hatch?

Do you know any where I can buy newborns cheap,or if they go on sale anywhere?

Hermann's tortoises, as well as most other Testudo species, are temperate climate tortoises whose activity (as well as inactivity) levels revolve around the changing seasons in their environment. They typical breed in the spring shortly after coming out of brumation (hibernation), lay eggs in the early summer and those eggs hatch in the late summer, early fall. In captivity in the U.S. the breeding schedule and egg production can vary depending upon where in the country the adult animals are being maintained and how. Very generally speaking, the majority of babies of newborn babies are available from June through October. But babies of most Testudo species are available year round from online dealers and any breeder that holds some back.

Honestly, if you're looking for "cheap deals" you may be in the wrong hobby! Speaking from experience as a breeder, it takes a year long effort, time and a lot of money to hatch babies out. Babies and live animals in general do not "go on sale" except in big box pet shops like Petco and PetSmart. The animals that they sell are 100% wild caught and to them, expendable and easily replaceable as just another stock "piece". Most breeders and even the majority of online vendors that buy babies from breeders, take better care of and know more about the species that they are selling. Quality, care, experience and knowledge don't usually come "cheap" or "on sale".
