It looks like it's time to bring the Water Turtles in for the Winter.

Does it get that cold there that you can't allow them to hibernate outside?

How does one go about hibernating painted turtles outside? I have a pond with a rubber liner that's 6 feet deep. In the winter, we just get a thin layer of ice but for not too long. Sorry to high jack the thread, but it may help both of us. :D

It gets very cold here Yvonne. I don't dare try hibernating.
It's ok Austin. No, I have just a very small pond for them to hang in good weather. I'm afraid it would freeze solid in the winter here.

I dont blame you water turtles don't need hibernate in my opinion :D
